You will learn to use an espresso machine, understand basic concepts of extraction, milk texturization, and preparation of classic drinks while enjoying a relaxed and authentic experience within Salvadoran coffee culture. More than just a class, it is an experience to learn, taste, and connect with coffee in a memorable way. Includes: • Introduction to barista skills and specialty coffee • Basic use of espresso machine and grinder • Espresso preparation • Milk texturization • Preparation of classic drinks • Tasting and guided practice No prior experience is required.

    Welcome and introduction to the workshop

    Reception of participants, presentation of the experience, and explanation of the objectives of the barista workshop.

    Theoretical part: fundamentals of specialty coffee

    Learn the basic principles of specialty coffee, the grain process, essential concepts of extraction, and the operation of the espresso machine and grinder, inspired by the standards of the Specialty Coffee Association.

    Practical part: espresso preparation

    Learn to use the grinder and espresso machine to prepare your first extractions, with the support and guidance of the barista throughout the process.

    Practical part: milk texturization and drink preparation

    Practice the technique of steaming and texturizing milk to prepare classic espresso-based drinks, applying the knowledge acquired during the workshop.

    Tasting and closing of the experience

    Enjoy the drinks made during the practice, receive feedback from the instructor, and resolve doubts to conclude the experience with a better understanding of the world of specialty coffee.
