Adventure Among Volcanoes and Mayan Culture

This is the 2-for-1 Tour, Volcanoes and Mayan Sites. In this tour, we will learn about the history of the Mayan culture of El Salvador and also enjoy beautiful views from the Cerro Verde National Park. Our first stop will be at the San Andrés archaeological site, one of the most important sites in the country, where our indigenous people used it as an acropolis for ceremonies and important activities. Then we will go to the Cerro Verde National Park to enjoy a very pleasant climate. There we will take a 45-minute hike where we will have stunning views of Izalco, the Santa Ana Volcano, and Lake Coatepeque. At the end of the hike, we will go to Lake Coatepeque to enjoy a delicious lunch from a viewpoint. Before finishing our day, we will visit one of the most important archaeological sites in the country: Tazumal. This itinerary may change, as sometimes we go to the volcano as the last stop.
