Bioluminescence Experience in Jiquilisco Bay

This tour departs from San Salvador and takes you to Puerto El Triunfo, on the Pacific coast, where you will board a boat to a special spot in the bay where the water shines. Once at the observation site, you will see with your own eyes the light show created by millions of microorganisms around you. The fascinating phenomenon of bioluminescence will be explained while you experience it in person. It is important to know that this phenomenon cannot be appreciated any night of the year. To see it in all its splendor, the sky must be as dark as possible, so the tour is scheduled during new moon or waning moon nights.
